With over 23 years of leadership experience in the arts, Suzy has committed her career to enhancing the impact of mission-based organizations and building opportunity and equity in the cultural sector. She believes in the power of artists to transform and lift up communities, and to help navigate some of the most important conversations of our times. Suzy most recently served as President and Executive Director of Creative Capital, an innovative arts nonprofit that uses venture philanthropy model in the support of individual artists. As the second Executive Director in Creative Capital’s history, she oversaw some of the most dramatic changes in the organization’s two-decade history. Under her leadership, Creative Capital increased its annual operating budget by 20 percent, she further developed the board by adding new active members while also establishing a National Advisory Council and providing expanded services to artists by instituting annual awards.
